Hardware/Software troubleshooting

Virus/Spyware Defense and Recovery
Spyware is a general term used for software that performs certain behaviors such as advertising, collecting personal information, or changing the configuration of your computer, generally without appropriately obtaining your consent. You might have spyware or other unwanted software on your computer if:
You see pop-up ads even when you are not on the Web.
Your browser home page or Search settings have changed without your knowledge.
You have a new browser toolbar that you didn't want and find it difficult to get rid of.
Your computer takes longer than usual to do certain tasks.
You experience a sudden rise in computer crashs.
Unfortunately, spyware problems are on the rise, and you most likely will be affected unless you take action to prevent it.

Network design, setup, and troubleshooting
KLM IT has designed, setup, and troubleshot networks for the past 20 years in San Diego. We have designed and implemented networks as small as 3 users in one office, to as large as 600 users spread across the U.S. in 20 locations. We have worked extensively with Compaq, HP, and Dell servers, and Cisco routers, hubs, and switches. We can also help you to set up a home network so you can share files or printers, or to allow more than 1 computer to access the internet at high speed through your cable or DSL modem. Email setup
KLM IT has worked with Microsoft Exchange since version 5.0. We are Microsoft certified on this product, and have many years of troubleshooting and making sure that email servers are fine-tuned and running efficiently. We can also help with a migration from 5.0 or 5.5 to Exchange 2003 or configuring Outlook Web Access. We can also help home users having trouble accessing your email on your provider's server, or accessing newsgroups with Outlook Express.

Web Design
Many small businesses are not aware of how inexpensive it is to have a website on the internet. Prices have fallen dramatically over the years and it makes sense for a business of any size to have a presense on the web. For about $150, and $6 a month, you can have a beautiful, basic 8-page site that will likely pay for itself with new customers in weeks. You provide the text and pictures, and we'll do the rest.
